American Airlines is currently offering 25,000 points with the sign-up of a new card. It's free to apply for the card and the annual fee of $95 is also waived for the first year, but be warned you'll have to pay it in the future. The 25,000 points is worth about two free round trips, or around $500 which makes it a steal! And if you continue to use the card for everyday purchases, it continues to give you 1 point per dollar, except on travel it gives you 2-3 points depending on the offer. They do, on occasion serve black out dates so call ahead before you assume you're about to get a free flight. American Airlines is rarely the cheapest option when booking a flight, and most flights start at $225 for a cheap AA round trip. Be ready to spend money on these flights and commit to an upperclass airline.
You need to check out Southwest's current offer. Sure it may fee like you're flying on an innercity bus, but Southwest's cheaps flights are certainly a bargain. Their current offer is a free round trip flight valued at over $120 when you sign up for a credit card, which is also free! It's a pretty good deal if you're looking to save on a quick flight. Plus, if you can continue flying with this airline and use the card for purchases and future bookings, you'll continue to accumulate mileage. It pays 1 point for every dollar you spend on all purchases and 2 points on flights. There are, of course, better cards out there, but this one is free.
See deals now for just $51 each way. We've found that JetBlue is the most constantly pleasant airline to fly on. You should definetly sign up with JetBlue's TrueBlue program so that you can accumulate mileage and in as little as three round trip flights you've probably accumulated enough TrueBlue points to actually score a free one way ticket! It's one of our favorite programs by far and if you can stick with one airline to pay you out in great rewards, this is the airline to frequently fly.
